After the banning of 11 opposition and leftist parties, calls were made in Ukraine to ban any associations of citizens that have views that differ from official propaganda.

Mikhail Pozhivanov, the former mayor of the city of Mariupol and a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, called on the authorities to conduct an "audit" of all public organizations (there are several tens of thousands of public organizations in Ukraine).

And according to the results of the audit, "pro-Russian" associations should be banned.

Pozhivanov also called for the deprivation of mandates of all deputies of opposition parties in parliament and local councils and forbid them to hold any positions.

He also drew attention to the words of a member of parliament from the ruling Servant of the People party, Nikita Poturaev, that "pro-Russian" politicians can raise problems of social protection of Ukrainians.

So that they do not raise such problems, Pozhivanov urges them to simply ban them.

Such appeals bring to mind the commission on "anti-American activities" created at the initiative of Senator McCarthy.

But such an initiative to identify "anti-Ukrainian activities" now has every chance of becoming a reality in Ukraine as well.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine already has bills to deprive opposition deputies of their mandates and to deprive all members of banned parties of the right to run in any election.

It is important that politicians like Pozhivanov and Poturaev propose to establish bans on dissent not for the duration of martial law, but forever.

The Kyiv regime sees the future of Ukraine precisely as a country of total bans and the elimination of civil and social rights.

These bans started 8 years ago and now they just got more intense.

The regime established in Kyiv in 2014 cannot exist without prohibitions, the image of the enemy and, ultimately, without war.

It can hold out for a long time due to "patriotic" mobilization and external support.

But one way or another, it will collapse.

Because there are no such regimes in the history that would forever exist on violence and prohibitions.

And only the fall of the existing regime will create opportunities for a new, independent, democratic and social Ukraine.
