On June 15, the regional council of the Khmelnytsky region (western Ukraine) banned "the public use of the Russian-language cultural product in any form until the complete cessation of the occupation": https://km-oblrada.gov.ua/vidbulasya-chergova-sesiya-oblasnoyi-rady/.
This means that on the territory of the region it is forbidden to perform and broadcast Russian music, read Russian poetry and prose, and quote the classics of Russian literature.
The initiator of the ban was the head of the regional council, Violetta Labazyuk, who was outraged by the fact that Russian music is played in schools at graduation parties.
Earlier, a ban on the "Russian-language product" was introduced by the city council of Ivano-Frankivsk.
The city councils of Ternopil and Konotop banned Russian music in their cities.
Also, the Khmelnitsky Regional Council decided to dismantle the monument to the cult Soviet writer, author of the novel "How the Steel Was Tempered", Nikolai Ostrovsky.
Ostrovsky's activity took place in the 1920-30s in the Khmelnitsky region - the cities of Shepetovka and Izyaslav.
