On June 15, the 8th Administrative Court of Appeal in the city of Lviv refused to allow Shariy Party lawyer Valentin Rybin to participate via videoconference in a court hearing to ban the party.
The court session will take place tomorrow, June 16.
This was announced by party leader Anatoly Shariy: https://t.me/ASupersharij/9723.
Anatoly Shariy received refugee status in the European Union in 2011.
Shariy is also accused by the Kyiv authorities of "high treason".
Valentin Rybin left Ukraine in March 2022, hiding from political persecution.
Both of them are now in Spain and cannot appear in person in court. Obviously, in Ukraine they will be immediately arrested.
Most likely, the hearing on the ban on the Shariy Party will be held in a closed mode from journalists and the public and without representatives of the party.
Sessions of the same court on the banning of parties were held behind closed doors on June 8, 13 and 14, 2022.
In the week since June 8, the Lviv court has already banned 6 opposition and leftist parties in Ukraine:
Opposition bloc,
Socialists,
Justice and Development,
Derzhava,
Our,
Block Vladimir Saldo.
On June 16, 2022, the 8th Court of Appeal of the city of Lviv will consider the claims of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on the ban
Shariy party,
Left opposition,
Opposition platform for life.
Later, the Lviv court will consider claims to ban the Socialist Party of Ukraine, the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine, the Union of Left Forces.
There is no doubt that in the current atmosphere of suppression of civil rights in Ukraine, all these parties will be banned.
The activity of the Communist Party of Ukraine was banned by law back in 2015.
