“We talked with Yuri Tkachev, editor-in-chief of Timer.
On June 7, he was released on bail of 189,000 hryvnia (approximately 6,000 euros). The case has been taken to court. Will be considered in the Primorsky District Court of Odessa.
Yura was detained by the SBU on March 19. The court decided to keep him in custody in a pre-trial detention center. Initially, the SBU accused him of "separatism, treason and possession of grenades and explosives, but the suspicion was brought only on storage." The court will consider the charge under 263 Art. Everything else could not be proven. At the same time, Yuri states that a grenade and explosives were thrown into his laundry basket in the bathroom during the first minutes of the search, when he was pulled out of the apartment. He does not plead guilty.
Regarding the conditions of detention, Yury said that he was in normal conditions, as he was kept in one of the paid cells in the pre-trial detention center. For 8,000 hryvnias a month, a person under investigation in such a cell is given the opportunity to sit in normal conditions, "a normal toilet, a shower, a refrigerator, a microwave, a normal bed, even a TV ..."
