The Times writes that "Azov" abandoned Nazi symbols.

We are talking about the fact that the Azov-Kharkov detachment, formed after the defeat of the main forces of Azov in Mariupol, abandoned the badge of the SS division Das Reich.

This Nazi sign is the symbol of "Azov", which, in turn, is part of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The reason for the refusal is that "Russian propagandists" use the fact that "Azov" has this sign to discredit the armed forces of Ukraine.

It is important that "Azov - Kharkov" did not abandon Nazi ideas, but only symbols.

After all, Nazism is not placed on a patch on the sleeve, but in the head.

Kharkov Nazis from "Azov" are known not so much for the symbols of the SS division Das Reich, but for murders, violence against dissidents, torture of Russian prisoners of war, destruction of monuments.

They don't give up on this. These facts are simply hushed up.

The rejection of symbols on the uniform does not mean the rejection of Nazi symbols in general.

Azov continues to legally use not only the SS symbol, but also the Nazi swastika.

But it's not even about showing a rejection of symbols and not about the fact that The Times tried in such a clumsy way to whitewash the Nazi formations in Ukraine.

And the fact that Nazism was and remains part of the state apparatus and state ideology in Ukraine.

Kyiv authorities are trying to prove that "there is no Nazism in Ukraine."

After all, there are Nazis in any country, but in Ukraine they are few and they receive 1-2 percent of support in elections.

This is actually true: Ukrainians do not support Nazism.

But the Nazis are the power in Ukraine.

The Nazis enjoy the right to use force against Ukrainians.

Right, which is power.

Murders of journalists, activists, attacks on rallies and meetings, Roma pogroms, crimes on the Maidan, in Odessa, Mariupol and Kharkov, committed by local ultra-rightists and Nazis over 8 years have not been disclosed and are not even investigated by law enforcement agencies.

The Nazi formation "Azov" exists at the expense of the state budget and is the elite, most equipped part of the Ukrainian army.

Azov, the National Corps party, the National Squads movement make up a holding that was raised by the former Interior Minister Avakov, and which Presidents Poroshenko and Zelensky are afraid of.

The Nazis are engaged in "education" in the militaristic spirit of a new generation of Ukrainians - in the children's camps "Azovets".

The Nazis have their own organization "Centuria" within the Ukrainian army.

In Ukraine, there are many far-right and Nazi "public" organizations and political parties - "Right Sector", "Svoboda", C14, which carry out terror against dissidents.

All anti-fascist parties are banned.

The mayors of some Ukrainian cities, which represent these parties, ban songs, music, churches.

Kyiv and local authorities in Ukraine are destroying monuments to the soldiers of the Red Army who fought against Nazism.

Instead, monuments are erected and streets are renamed after local Nazis and collaborators.

In Ukraine, under President Yushchenko, the "Institute of National Memory" was created, which is engaged in rewriting history.

So now it turns out that World War II was not won by those who we think.

Xenophobia, deprivation of the rights of Russians, residents of Donbass, Belarusians, Roma, calls for murder and justification of murders have become part of state policy.

After Maidan 2014, the most reactionary and comprador part of big business came to power in Ukraine.

This capital hired passionate Nazis as guards.

Capital also took the Nazi ideology as a state.

A grandiose experiment in building a totalitarian state in the 21st century took place in Ukraine.

A state that controls not only the actions, but also the words and thoughts of Ukrainians.

And for this, the state, as Hannah Arendt wrote, needs totalitarian movements.

Ukrainians do not really support Nazism yet.

But Nazism is not in symbolism, but in the minds.
