On the social rights of Ukrainians.
1. On May 26, 2022, the Ukrainian state company Naftogaz announced an increase in gas prices for utilities that generate heat for the population by more than 3 times.

If now the price of gas is 7.42 hryvnia per cubic meter of gas (excluding gas transportation), then the contracts that utility companies will sign now will have a price of 29.4 hryvnia per cubic meter (including delivery).

An increase in gas prices will lead to an increase in heating tariffs, which Ukrainians will pay.
Ukraine produces such an amount of natural gas that is sufficient for the needs of the population (about 20 billion cubic meters per year).
The cost of Ukrainian gas production, according to experts, is 1-2 hryvnia per cubic meter.
The main gas fields in Ukraine are located in the Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions (now under the control of the Kyiv authorities).
The International Monetary Fund is constantly demanding a "market" price for gas (now on European stock exchanges - about $1 per cubic meter).
Prior to the outbreak of hostilities, an increase in utility tariffs caused protests by Ukrainians ("communal Maidan").
Now, under martial law, all protests are prohibited, but the Kiev government has promised not to increase tariffs until after the war.
But now it is the Ministry of Energy that has turned to Naftogaz with a proposal to increase the price of gas.
2. Also in Ukraine, payments will be canceled for some people who have left the war zone since 2014.
Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebnaya said that only those migrants who:
- live in a war zone and cannot return home;
- Whose house is damaged or destroyed.
Previously, all internally displaced persons received assistance.
