On May 23, 2022, Ukrainian officers were arrested - company commander Serhiy Lapko and platoon commander Vitaliy Khrus.

A couple of hours after Lapko and Khrus gave an interview to an American publication, security officers of the Ukrainian armed forces detained them and charged them with desertion (Article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, up to 10 years in prison).

Lapko was removed from command. Now he is being held in Lisichansk.
