According to the SBU, through Instagram and private messages, he “justified the aggression of the Russian Federation, publicly called on citizens to surrender to the enemy and cooperate with him.”
The SBU does not disclose the name of the suspect, but it became known that this is the son of a member of parliament in 2007-2012 from the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc party, Dmitry Vitvitsky.
The SBU also reported that the ex-deputy's son wanted to leave Ukraine, but was detained and charged with "war propaganda" (Article 436 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Vitvitsky's son faces 3 years in prison.
Yulia Timoshenko and her political party take a "patriotic" stance and are in favor of a war against the Russian Federation.
The SBU also announced the detention of a resident of Kyiv, who "justified the invasion of the Russian Federation" and a resident of Cherkassy, who was engaged in "enemy agitation."
