News of Ukrainian lawmaking.
1. On May 26, 2022, deputies of the ruling Servant of the People party submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the possibility of confiscation of property of the Republic of Belarus on the territory of Ukraine: https://itd.rada.gov.ua/billInfo/Bills/Card/39678.
This draft law amends a law already passed by Parliament that allows the confiscation of property of the Russian Federation and citizens of Ukraine and other countries that "support" the Russian Federation.
2. At the same time, President Zelensky announced that a draft law on "the special legal status of Polish citizens in Ukraine" would be submitted to the Rada.
The bill itself has not yet been published, but sources say it suggests that Polish citizens will be able to be elected to the Ukrainian parliament, hold the highest government positions in Ukraine, be judges and have access to state secrets.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that "there will be no borders between Poland and Ukraine."
In 1569 - 1795 there was Rzeczpospolita - a state centered in Poland, which also included the territories of Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova.
Many Polish politicians talk about the restoration of Rzeczpospolita and the return of the "eastern outskirts", including western Ukraine, to its composition.
3. On May 26, 2022, Andriy Smirnov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that "Ukraine needs a new judicial reform with a rethinking of the need for the existence of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine": https://www.google.com.ua/amp/s/www.pravda. com.ua/news/2022/05/26/7348661/index.amp.
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU) was established in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine.
It determines whether the laws of Ukraine, presidential decrees, government decisions, the Constitution of Ukraine.
Over the past two years, Zelensky began to pressure the judges of the Constitutional Court when they were about to decide that the law on the sale of Ukrainian productive land, which was lobbied by big national capital and Western imperialism, is contrary to the Constitution of Ukraine.
Smirnov says that it is necessary to limit the powers of the Constitutional Court or even eliminate this court.
Obviously, if the Constitutional Court is liquidated, the president will be able to freely make decisions that contradict the Constitution of Ukraine.
