Sergei Fairafonov, 52, hid 19-year-old Russian tanker Alexei Nedayvoda in his house.

Alexey was born in Ukraine in the city of Krivoy Rog.

After the Russian troops left Shestakovka on May 6, Fairafonov hid a Russian soldier, passing him off as his son.

Now a criminal case has been opened against him under Article 111-2 ("complicity with the aggressor").

He faces 10 to 12 years in prison.
