On May 22, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved Zelensky's decree on extending martial law in the country until August 23, 2022.
Zelensky also submitted a bill to the parliament on the special status of Polish citizens in Ukraine.
Today, Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke in the Ukrainian parliament.
The text of the bill is not yet known.
It is assumed that if the law on the special status of Poles in Ukraine is adopted, Polish citizens will receive great preferences.
There are no precedents in the modern world when citizens of one country had a special privileged status in another country.
Also on May 22, the head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling party, David Arakhamia, announced that Ukraine had withdrawn from the Agreement on perpetuating the memory of the courage and heroism of the peoples of the CIS in the Great Patriotic War.
