On May 19, 2022, leaflets reappeared in Kherson (under the control of Russian troops) threatening to kill the deputy head of the new administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, and his family, including children.
Earlier in Kherson, Pavel Slobodchikov, assistant to the head of the new administration Vladimir Saldo, and blogger Valery Kuleshov were killed.
Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko and the governor of the Mykolaiv region neighboring Kherson (under the control of Ukrainian troops) Vitaliy Kim reported in the media that there is a special service in Ukraine that kills objectionable people without trial or investigation.
On May 11, in Kherson, unidentified persons pasted up leaflets promising a reward of 500,000 hryvnias for Stremousov's head.
Leaflets with the promise of monetary rewards for the heads of communists, partisans, Russians, Jews were posted in Ukraine by the Nazi occupation authorities during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.
