As we reported, on May 4, 2022, the first trial of the 70-year-old poet and journalist, defender of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Yan Taksyur, was to be held.

But, since Taxiur has not yet been familiarized with his criminal case, which is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the court postponed the meeting to May 26.

On March 10, 2022, Yan Taksyur was detained by the SBU and charged with "high treason" (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It seems that the SBU is artificially delaying the consideration of the criminal case against Taksyur, as it has no evidence of his "high treason".

All the time, starting from March 10, the seriously ill Taksyur spent in prison.
