Demyan Ganul, a far-right activist from Odessa, said that he wrote a denunciation of Alexander Prigarin, a lecturer at the Mechnikov Odessa National University.

Ganul believes that Prigarin cannot teach at the university because he posted congratulations on Victory Day on a social network. And also because he previously published communist symbols and other illegal things.

According to him, the university management agreed with Ganul.

This is not the first case of denunciation and brutal violation of academic freedoms in Ukraine.

Since 2014, teachers and students at Ukrainian universities have been repeatedly fired following denunciations by far-right activists for their statements or posts on social networks.
