On May 9, 2022, on the Day of Victory over Nazism, Donetsk was once again shelled from the positions of Ukrainian troops.

The fire was fired by Grad multiple launch rocket systems.

9 civilians of the city suffered.

Two residents of Donetsk, 16-year-old schoolboy Vladislav and 69-year-old Galina were killed.

On the same day, Kherson was shelled from Ukrainian positions, where mass demonstrations were held in honor of Victory Day. However, the Russian air defense destroyed 8 objects fired at the city.

Also, the founder of the Nazi formation Azov Beletsky previously stated that Ukrainian long-range artillery could fire on Mariupol on May 9 if demonstrations were held there in honor of Victory Day over Nazism.

On May 9, mass demonstrations took place in Mariupol, but no shelling of the city was recorded.
