On April 29, 2022, the police of the Zhytomyr region reported that, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, they conducted searches and announced suspicion of "collaborationism" (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) to three residents of the region: https://www.facebook.com/100064479710528/posts /355851313240856/.
1. A 54-year-old Zhytomyr resident who worked in a fitness club told training participants that "Russians are a fraternal people and came in peace in order to change the government to one loyal to the Russian Federation. So the Ukrainian people will be better off."
2. A 59-year-old resident of Zhytomyr was detained for writing on social networks: “Artillery of the armed forces of Ukraine is ironing Irpen”, “The Ukrainian side and nationalists mock our soldiers, they are maimed, and they call their relatives with threats.”
3. A 66-year-old Zhytomyr resident had the imprudence to publicly say: "Putin wants to save us from Bandera and help our country in the fight against nationalists. The Ukrainian army is not able to protect us ... Russian troops will restore order."
As can be seen from this information, denunciation or "squealing" is becoming more and more widespread in Ukraine.
The photos released by the Zhytomyr police show "possible evidence of illegal activity", such as a photo album about Rostov the Great (a city in the Russian Federation).
All three face up to 15 years in prison.
Also, the police of the Zhytomyr region reports that they sent to the court the materials of the accusation of a 48-year-old resident of the village of Sniguriv and a 64-year-old resident of Zhytomyr, who denied "Russian aggression."
