On May 3, 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) added a new charge to Lviv blogger and journalist Gleb Lyashenko.

This was reported by Gleb's mother, Svetlana.

Gleb Lyashenko was detained by the SBU on March 31 in Lviv and charged with "treason" (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for posting on social networks where he criticized the Kyiv authorities.

Today, the SBU added Lyashenko to the charge of "high treason" and the charge of "war propaganda" (Article 436).

According to Svetlana, such actions of the SBU indicate that it is impossible to prove her son's guilt of "high treason" in court.

“And that is why they quickly found a “spare” article, which, according to their logic, will remain in court if high treason “flies away.” Thus, the Service and the prosecutor’s office “insure” against an acquittal, although it is inevitable,” Svetlana said.

Svetlana also stated that Gleb never promoted the war, everything is quite the opposite - he wrote about the need to end it.

Svetlana also wrote a letter to Zelensky with a request to pay attention to the criminal case of her son.
