He became one of the first victims of the repressions of the Kyiv authorities against the left and dissidents, which flared up with renewed vigor in Ukraine after the outbreak of hostilities.

Now there are hundreds of dissidents in Ukrainian prisons.

Oleksandr, who had never fought, was accused of "waging an aggressive war" (Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
