Many sources have reported that representatives of the ultra-right and Nazi formations are conducting mass checks on the inhabitants of Nikolaev (under the control of Ukrainian troops) about their loyalty.
Checks take place at checkpoints, people are stopped on the streets or even enter houses.
First of all, the contents of phones and computers are subjected to verification.
If a person called a Russian phone number, subscribed to telegram channels and Internet resources that the official Kyiv propaganda considers hostile, the person is detained and handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
Of particular "interest" to the inspectors is the Telegram social network, which has no censorship, unlike the Facebook or YouTube networks.
We have verified this information. The facts of such checks were confirmed.
But how widespread such checks are, it is not possible to find out.
Similar checks by armed ultra-right formations that are part of the Ukrainian troops and detentions also took place in Krasny Liman (Donetsk region) before the Russian offensive. And also in Romny (Sumy region) and Bucha (near Kyiv) after these cities were left by Russian troops.
On April 29, in Kyiv, the police detained people who had “strange” (according to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs) telegram channels and Internet resources on their phones.
Also on April 29, the director of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine Oleksiy Sukhachev said that the SBI, together with the SBU and the police, is looking for, checking and carrying out "filtration measures" against more than 11,000 Russian citizens who entered Ukraine before February 24, 2022.
