Destruction of monuments and Russophobia in Ukraine.
On July 7, 2022, near Kyiv, in the city of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, a monument was dismantled, symbolizing the friendship of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples.
The monument depicts two women, a Ukrainian and a Russian, and was erected in 1961 in honor of the Pereyaslav Rada.
At the Pereyaslav Rada in 1654, representatives of the Cossacks and cities of Ukraine, headed by Hetman Bogdan Khmelnitsky, decided to unite with the Russian state.
In Ukraine, there is a massive destruction of monuments to fighters against Nazism, soldiers of the Red Army, Russian writers.
