You ask a lot about figuring out the reference for your salary expectations for remote positions.

Besides regular Glassdoor and LinkedIn information, I like to use state of industry reports like State of Testing 2021 by PractiTest.

There are reports of this kind specifically for designers, developers, and remote industry in general.
