Lien Finance has suffered a significant security breach after an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the protocol's pricing mechanism, resulting in the theft of approximately $542,000 USDC.
The exploit specifically targeted Lien Finance's OTC trading pools on Ethereumgl

By manipulating how the protocol valued deposited assets, the attacker was able to exchange virtually worthless tokens for USDC at artificially inflated prices before draining the available liquidity.

Blockchain investigators have identified the attacker's wallet, where the stolen funds currently remain. At the time of writing, there have been no signs of laundering activity or transfers to privacy services, although the address continues to be monitored.
