Sad news. At the age of just 21, young ice hockey player Yegor Yadykin has passed away.
It's especially tough when such young people, who had their lives, hockey and big plans ahead of them, pass away. Yegor progressed through the Avangard Omsk system, played for HC Norilsk and was called up to both youth and junior Russian national teams.
This tragic loss has touched our entire hockey family, the family of the Red Machine Junior Academy. One of our Academy coaches, Pavel Levashov, helped Yegor progress, put his soul into his efforts with him and treated him like his own son.
I express my sincere condolences to Yegor's family and loved ones, his friends, teammates, coaches and everyone who knew and worked with him. I wish his parents and entire family the strength and courage to endure this irreparable loss.
For our part, together with the Red Machine Junior Academy, we will provide Yegor's loved ones with all of the necessary assistance and support. We never abandon our own.
And let this terrible tragedy once again remind us all of the importance of being extremely careful while taking care of ourselves and our loved ones, because one mistake can be too costly.
May he rest in peace.
