Jesus Christ, may nothing separate us from You today. Teach us how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead us closer to You. Help us walk by the Word and not my feelings. Help us to keep our heart pure and undivided. 
Protect us from our own careless thoughts, words, and actions. And keep us from being distracted by our wants, our desires, our thoughts on how things should be. Help us to embrace what comes our way as an opportunity... rather than a personal inconvenience. And finally, help us to rest in the truth of KJV Psalm 86:13, 'For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

You already see the ways we will fall short and mess up. But right now, we consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for us into the deepest part of our heart. We recognize Your love for us is not based on our performance but through the faith in the blood of Christ and resurrection. Lord, help us to remember forever what a gift it is to sit with You like this. Amen❣️
