Re the broccoli question.
Some of my esteemed comrades are against my broccoli-maxxing, which began today.
They claim my shilling of this noxious weed is dietary heresy against the meat gods. They point primarily to oxalates in plants which can negatively impact gut health and kidney function, among other things.
Let me be clear. I do not recommend vegetables over meat. I am not eating broccoli because I think it’ll make me healthier. I’m attempting to leverage the sulforaphane in broccoli which may help facilitate more muscle growth.
Is eating plants good for you? Probably not. Is it healthy to have abnormally large muscles? That’s debatable.
But this is my hobby and profession. I’ve spent most of my adult life studying and trying everything which enhances the quality and size of muscle, I don’t think some broccoli is gonna hurt me but we’ll see.
Standby for results! (Also fyi, I learned last night that young “broccoli sprouts” contain around 100 times more of the compounds necessary to form sulforaphane).
