I've always loved the idea of implications rather than physical manifestations (let me explain)

I've seen countless efforts to make Hyde a gigantic creature (which leaves the worst taste in the mouth to be frank) but having a normal actor wearing a fur coat which implies the shape of a beast? Absolute costume design 🙌

Also costume design for stage is kinda complicated since you have to take the audience sitting further away in the back seats into account, and that's why the immaculate ivory coat shines (and it helps the red waistcoat to BREATHE which is a double win in my book)

Also this is a personal sentiment (not limited to the Korean/Japanese production, it's about this musical in general)
There are numerous (terrible) attempts at making an off putting makeup for Hyde in the billion movies I've watched (since I have no life), but with the merit of not being able to do a heavy makeup for the actor (because he literally has to fake a transformation on stage) we actually get a closer representation to the book where the "undescribable deformity" is the VIBES and not a literal defect in the face/body
