Yesterday, my dad Kees Vlaardingerbroek received his PhD in Theology with honors for his monumental work, The Edifying Songs of Schutte.

Schutte was an 18th-century Dutch Reformed pastor noted for his special attention to the musical aspect of his sacred hymns.

We are so proud of you, Dad!
