If there’s ever a Friends of Humanity character I’d be much more interested in seeing a victim rather than a bigot.

Someone who gets screwed over by a malevolent spirit or hostile reckless magic due to a workplace accident or a curse on their bloodline and gets turned into a monster against their will.

Someone who desperately wants to go back to the boring original person they were before they were deformed/cursed, but can’t. Who the Friends of Humanity can parade around as an example of the threat “true humanity” is facing in the world of Deadlock and have a kernel of a point.

Lore wise this would make the Friends of Humanity present themselves as a cross between an environmentalist group and a union. Even if under the surface it’s just a blatant human supremacist group or a controlled opposition. This “victim” character and others might see that as a [...]
