This is gonna sound like crack posting without context.

There's been discussion of wether 'race' exists in deadlock due to characters like wraith and calico being undiscriminated against. the current theory was either A) race just doesnt exist in deadlock's universe B) racism existed but the maelstrom pushed progressive movements further significantly faster leading to rapid social change. with this piece of dialogue the second is seemingly confirmed
