Is this the most useless piece of code, or what?

class IBaseTool
{
public:
virtual ~IBaseTool() = default;
};


And it's ONLY other use:

class ITool : IBaseTool
{
public:
ITool() = default;
~ITool() override = default;
...
}


I'm pretty certain this is the most useless piece of code I've seen in over a decade.

Please tell me this is physically hurting other people too.
