How do you present a portfolio?

A job I am interested in requires me to send a portfolio. Looking for examples online, it's all just web people building sites to show off what they can do.

I have a couple of C++ projects: a 3D renderer, a raytracer, an interpreter. How do I present this? I doubt I can just send them an exe or a link to my github.
