Two Israeli human rights organizations, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and PCATI, have documented testimonies of 22 Palestinian detainees shot at close range with rubber or plastic bullets across seven Israeli detention facilities.
Medical records confirmed severe trauma, including a 45-year-old prisoner whose crushed testicle was surgically removed and another hospitalized for a leg fracture.
Detainees also reported wounds to the abdomen, pelvis, and hands, frequently citing inadequate medical treatment.
Several accounts state guards opened fire during distress or protests, such as shooting and tasering a prisoner demanding scabies medication.
