Four lion cubs have died at a zoo in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza after their health deteriorated amid severe shortages of food, medicine and veterinary care.

Zoo workers said the worsening conditions reflect the broader humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where restrictions on the entry of essential supplies have left both people and animals struggling to survive.
