A UAE government source has accused Netanyahu of exploiting the Flydubai attempted crash for Israeli election purposes, deliberately dragging out the crisis to keep it in the headlines.

"The one stopping the flights is Israel," the source said, calling Israel "an arsonist who runs to start the fire and then runs to put it out."

The UAE cooperated, tightened security procedures, and agreed to Israeli involvement in the investigation. Netanyahu responded by invoking September 11, hinting at Iran, and calling the charter flights home "rescue flights."
