Ben Davis, a senior official at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, said his contract was not renewed after 26 years following accusations that he breached impartiality rules by speaking out about starvation and famine in Gaza.

Davis said a report he co-authored on food availability and international humanitarian law was removed from the FAO website under pressure from Israel and the US, while FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu warned staff that more employees could be fired for opposing the organization’s rules.
