Colombia has withdrawn from South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the ICJ, reversing former President Gustavo Petro's policy under which Bogota had filed the intervention, severed ties with Israel, called it a genocidal government, and halted coal exports.

New far-right president Abelardo de la Espriella, in office since August, has restored ties, reopened embassy in occupied Jerusalem, formed a bilateral economic commission, and now pulled Colombia out of the genocide case.
