Hostage Families Slam Israel’s Plan To Flood Hamas Tunnels With Seawater: ‘Our Husbands Are in There!’

Former Hamas hostages and families of those who still remain trapped in Gaza bashed Israel's plans to reportedly flood the vast tunnel network used by the terror group underneath the besieged Strip, telling the Israeli War Cabinet their loved ones are being held there.

"My husband was separated from us three days before we returned to Israel and taken to the tunnels. And you are talking about washing the tunnels with sea water? You are shelling the route of tunnels in the exact area where they are," an unidentified former hostage told officials in a private meeting on Tuesday, according to recordings reviewed by Israeli news outlet, YNet.

"The girls ask me where is father? And I have to tell them that the bad guys don't want to yet release him," she added.

Citing unidentified U.S. officials with knowledge of the plan, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Israel is assembling a system of giant pumps for the possible ploy to flush out the Hamas terrorists using water from the Mediterranean Sea.
