Wholesale Carnage at Schools Housing Thousands of Gazans After Israeli Airstrikes

Hundreds of refugees have been killed and many more injured as the Israeli army intensifies attacks on humanitarian sites and heavily populated neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip

Israeli jets bombed the Al-Fakhoura and Tal al-Zaatar schools in Gaza on 18 November, killing hundreds and injuring many more inside the humanitarian sites where thousands of Palestinian families had sought shelter.

The attack on Al-Fakhoura school, run by the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in Jabalia refugee camp, reportedly took place “at dawn.” Hours later, the Tal al-Zaatar school in Beit Lahia was also hit. No official death toll is available.
