Biden earlier presented a new peace plan to resolve the situation in the Middle East, according to him it came from Israel.

The first stage will take six weeks and involves the mandatory implementation of the following points:

- Mutual truce between Israel and Hamas.
- Withdrawal of Israeli troops from all areas of Gaza City.
- Release of female hostages, as well as absolutely all elderly and wounded.
- Liberation of hundreds of Palestinians.

The second stage will include:

- Release of all surviving hostages.
- Release of all male military personnel.
- Withdrawal of Israeli troops from the entire Gaza Strip.
- Permanent ceasefire.

The third stage consists of one point:

- Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

According to Biden, this plan was proposed by Israel itself and transmitted to Hamas through Qatar.
