Large Majorities Across Dozens Of Nations Hold Negative Views Of Israel: Poll

Israel has seen its global reputation plummet since the start of the genocide in Gaza and the war of aggression against Iran

A new Pew Research Center poll released on June 4 shows that most people in dozens of countries worldwide hold an “unfavorable view” of Israel and have “no confidence” in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The poll was conducted between 8 February and 13 May of this year, covering 36 countries.

Most of the interviews were conducted after the start of the US-Israeli war against Iran in late February.

Across the 36 nations, 36 percent have an “unfavorable view of Israel,” while 25 percent have a favorable view. The 36 percent marks around two-thirds.

...It also said that relatively negative views of Israel were expressed in all the European countries covered in the poll.

Approximately half of adults in Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands expressed a “very unfavorable” view of Israel.

In North America and Europe, younger people are more opposed to Israel than older people. In Hungary, 72 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds hold negative views of Israel, while 42 percent of those 50 and older view Israel as “unfavorable.”
