Within 33 days of the war with Iran, a declining support graph for Trump’s government, massive protests across the US, and a wave of forced resignations and dismissals at the highest levels of US national security leadership have emerged.
Senior military officials—including Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, Gen. David Hodne, and Maj. Gen. William Green—have reportedly been removed or pressured to step down.
At the same time, National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent resigned in protest over the Iran war, stating he could not support a conflict he believed lacked justification and did not serve US interests.
Israel is in the driver’s seat
Former Director of the Counterterrorism Center, Kent’s resignation letter was unambiguous: "Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.
It is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby."
He warned that President Trump’s hands are tied and that, without reining in Israel, the US cannot declare victory.
"The Pentagon is stuck on Israel’s hook: it can neither swallow it nor throw it out."
Even Tucker Carlson has echoed this, accusing Netanyahu of turning Washington into a tool for Israeli border expansion while Americans die and foot the bill.
