It’s not just Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir or Smotrich who are the driving force behind Israel’s campaign of genocide in Gaza, warns American political scientist Norman Finkelstein.
“When Bernie Sanders says the problem is Netanyahu, that’s not true,” he explains.
“The problem is Israeli Jewish society. They are completely demented.”
The events of October 7, 2023, merely gave the Israelis “permission to release all their demons” and let loose their hatred of the Palestinians, Finkelstein suggests.
