GTA 6’s Extended Look officially premieres in 10 days.

It still feels unreal that we’re about to see gameplay footage and will finally be able to play the game in less than 100 days.

A new PlayStation commercial featuring GTA 6:

- Live-action shot from Miami
- The clips have sound we haven’t heard before
- Features a billboard in Poland
- Trailer 2 shots are in 16:9 instead of the cinematic 20:9 aspect ratio with black bars

Rockstar likely provides Sony with the raw footage for the trailer to use in commercials like this, as they’re both marketing partners.

Take-Two CEO’s new interview on CNBC:

- GTA 6 pre-orders have gone much better than expected
- Rockstar understands that they need to exceed expectations and he believes they will
- More people pre-ordered the $100 edition, but that could be a reflection of the fact that the most avid consumers are the ones who are pre-ordering
- A Christmas discount isn’t expected as they tend to preserve the price for a very long time
- He refused to give any details about the Extended Look, and only stated that it will be worth watching

Take-Two says the $80 price tag for GTA 6 will be an incredible bargain because Rockstar is known for overdelivering and the company’s goal is to deliver way more value than it charges.

Zelnick also doubled down on the physical version not having a disc, stating that the company’s sales are 90% digital, and it’s much more convenient for consumers.

He adds that they still plan to have physical releases now and then in the same way that there's still vinyl in the music business, but for a game this big, discs don’t make sense for consumers.

Strauss Zelnick declined to share GTA 6 pre-order numbers, only stating that no one has seen anything like it in the industry:

“I'm not gonna tell you, but I can say that the level of pre-orders is unprecedented and astonishing. No one’s ever seen anything like this before at Take-Two Int or in the industry. We’re very grateful for that, yet they are so unprecedented that we just don't know how it will translate into sales. One of the reasons we’re not changing our guidance is to be clear, we haven’t sold one unit yet. You can cancel a pre-order. We just don’t believe in claiming victory before it occurs.”

People complaining about the GTA 6 extended look being “locked behind a paywall” because it’s exclusive to Netflix for just 6 hours gotta realize this isn’t anything new.

The first GTA 5 preview consisting of an 18-page cover story with many details and core mechanics was exclusive to Game Informer at first and required a subscription too, before more previews became available to everyone by more outlets days later.

After 6 hours, the extended look will be available to everyone on YouTube and the game’s website.

In 2012, Rockstar partnered with the biggest gaming magazine at the time, Game Informer for the first GTA 5 preview.

In 2026, Rockstar partnered with the biggest streaming platform today, Netflix for the first extended look at GTA 6.

It’s incredible to see how far the series has come, fulfilling Sam Houser’s vision that gaming is an essential part of pop culture.
