Demo is not only a toy

A demo bot runs the same preset as a real one, on the same live market and by the same rules. It opens and closes positions at the same moments, and averages into drawdowns the same way. The difference is that the trades are virtual: nothing goes to the exchange and none of your money is involved.

That makes it the simplest way to see how a preset behaves before funding anything – how long it usually takes to reach the target profit, and how deep it goes before recovering.

For someone new to futures it works as a training ground: you can watch a full cycle, see how averaging into a drawdown works and what the recovery looks like, with none of your money at risk.

For anyone who already trades, it is a test bench: you can run a preset you are unsure about, or two tiers side by side, and compare how they behave on the same market.

"It didn't cost me anything except for bits of my time"

Came into crypto futures trading after buying some bitcoin on spot, and quickly lost around $300 while "learning" the whole thing about margin trading and managing my positions. Then I found these guys and their trading bots […] At first it still took me some time to understand how to use them, but they have a safe demo mode so it didn't cost me anything except for bits of my time.

Nikolai Krasavin, Germany, 5★

Nikolai paid $300 to find out what a margin call feels like. That is the usual entry fee to futures, and it is the one part of trading we can take off the table: a demo bot is a realtime simulation on live market data with virtual money, so the same lesson costs you time instead.

He moved to real money later, when he decided to – not when we told him to.

What you did with last month

Of the bots that finished in the last 30 days, 52% reached their target profit, 32% were stopped by hand, and 16% were liquidated.

BTC rose sharply over the month. A sharp move is usually where liquidations spike, and this time they did not – 16% is one bot in six. What the move did change is the manual stops: it stayed well within what the presets are built for, but you know what you are doing – many of you preferred calm over turbulence and closed your bots yourselves ❤️

If you are new here and want to see how a preset behaves in a month like this one, start a demo bot: the same live market, virtual money, a full cycle to watch. It is free.

Seven years of Profitage

It started in 2019, and not with a product. A team of competitive programmers spent the first two years on research and on building the trading infrastructure and the backtest engine – the part that replays hundreds of thousands of configurations.

In 2021 that engine became something people could use. The Telegram bot launched on Binance in 2022, Bybit followed in 2024, and last year the web app and the first spot bots arrived. This year the Kamikaze presets joined the lineup.

Seven years in, we are glad to keep growing and to keep making trading bots for you – the people who run them every day. And there is more ahead.

Thank you for being here with us.

When you would rather not risk the whole balance

There is no leverage on spot, so there is no liquidation. A spot bot cannot leave you with an empty balance: if the price falls, you still hold the coins and the bot waits.

That makes a spot bot a good fit for savings that are just lying idle: instead of sitting still, they start working.

A spot bot is built to live 3-6 months, earning 4-6% a month on average and up to 9% in a strong one.

A good week for our bots

BTC drifted up over the past week, and the bots caught it: 75% of the runs that finished reached their target profit, 20% were stopped by hand, and only 5% were liquidated.

A 75% win rate is not just the bots doing their job. It is you picking the right preset at the right moment – you feel the market and you know how to handle the bots.

Thank you for that ❤️

Who stands behind Profitage

Dmitri Laus is one of the core investors behind Profitage, with more than 18 years in fintech. He is one of the people behind Admiral Markets (Admirals) – a broker regulated by the FCA, ASIC, CySEC and EFSA, working in 130+ countries, with bonds listed on Nasdaq Tallinn – and the founder of GetID, an identity verification service used by banks and fintech companies to check documents from 190+ countries.

He also runs our bots with his own money. In his words:

I've built some companies, sold a few, and crashed a couple (it happens). […] And guess what? I still test everything with my own capital.

Which bot should you actually pick?

Every preset belongs to one of three tiers, and they differ in two things: how fast they aim to reach the target profit and how much attention they ask from you.

For Moderate presets, it usually takes a few weeks to reach the target profit, with a 3-7% risk of liquidation.

Aggressive ones aim to finish in about a week, with a liquidation risk somewhere around 15-20%.

Kamikaze ones are the extreme end, but still very useful if you know something about trading: they usually live about 1-2 days, with up to a 40% risk.

Those numbers vary from one preset generation to another, as we regularly refresh them to keep up with the market changes.

Keep in mind that a tier is not a ranking. One aggression level is made to perform almost by a random pick, another requires some knowledge and skill, but may boost income much more.

"Surprisingly, cause I'm not into math or smth"

I really like the interface […] I also like that it's part of the Telegram, which I use every day, so I didn't have to download another app. I figured everything out pretty quickly (surprisingly, cause I'm not into math or smth😄). Firstly I started the bot in Demo mode it showed growth and brought a profit. Then I launched a Real bot – first with $100, then with $250.

Alina Savvina, Georgia, 5★

Notice the order: demo first, then $100, then $250. Nobody starts with the amount that would hurt to lose, and nobody has to be a trader or a mathematician to run a preset.

One honest note on Alina's demo result: what a bot earned in one period is not a promise for the next. That is exactly why the demo comes first – you watch a full cycle before any of your money is involved.

Pay in TON or USDT, right in the app

TON Connect is now in the app, which means Profit Points can be paid for straight from your own DeFi wallet – any wallet that supports TON Connect. Open the Shop, choose how many Points you need, connect the wallet and confirm. TON and USDT both work.

Until now the payment ran through the website: you picked a currency there, got an invoice and had twenty minutes to complete it before it expired. That detour is gone. The payment happens in the app, on-chain, from a wallet you hold the keys to.

It sounds like a small thing, and it is – but it removes the most annoying gap in the whole flow: the one between deciding to start a real bot and actually starting it.

What last month actually looked like

Here is every bot that finished in the last thirty days, sorted by how it ended. Not a selection, not a good week – all of them.

Most reached their target profit and closed on their own. Some were closed early by their owners, who saw something they did not like and stepped in. A few were liquidated. And a small share ended at a Finish StopLoss – a limit the owner set in advance, so the worst case was a number they had already agreed to.

We will keep publishing these numbers from time to time. Some periods will look better than this one, some will look worse. That is the point of publishing them.

The simplest way to judge us is not to believe the chart. Run a demo bot instead – a realtime simulation on live market data, free, with virtual money – and watch a full cycle yourself.

Why people don’t believe in trading bots

And honestly... they’re right not to. From the outside algo-trading looks suspicious. You see screenshots with profits, but no one shows the losing days. You hear about “stable results”, but no one explains what’s actually happening behind the scenes. Plus there’s a lot of noise from Reddit, comments, random chats, where people lost money or got burned.

So people by default react as this is either fake, or I’m not seeing the full picture. That’s exactly what we’re trying to fix here. If something is real, it won’t look perfect. There will be losing trades. There will be flat days. And there will be a clear connection between what the market does and what the bot does.

The easiest way see it is demo. Just watch how the bot behaves in real market conditions.

So… where do you actually start?

Probably the most common comments we see from beginners is:
“Sounds interesting, but connecting API keys feels scary as hell”

The moment people hear “connect your exchange”, they immediately imagine bots having full access to their funds and randomly doing something dangerous in the background.

Trading permissions and withdrawal permissions are completely separate. Profitage bots can open and close positions if you allow trading access, but they cannot withdraw your funds from the exchange.

That’s why the safest way to start is actually pretty simple: create your API keys, connect your exchange, choose your trading direction, set the balance size you’re comfortable with, define your Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, and start the bot. That's all you need to start making profits and it only takes 10 minutes!

Profitage is not a magic button

We see an expectation from some people that you turn on trading bots and they immediately make you rich. Well...they don't.

Bots do their part. They scan the market, open positions, close them based on algorithms. But that doesn’t mean you should completely ignore what’s happening on the markets.

You still need to look at results, understand the context, and not treat it like a black box printing money. Moreover, you need to use stop-losses and take-profits and control your budgets. What the bot actually removes is the emotional side. No panic, no random decisions, no “I think it will go up”. Just execution.

So the right way to look at it is simple. The bot is a tool. Not a guarantee. If you want to understand how it behaves, the fastest way is to watch it in action. Demo is literally built for that.

Truth about trading bots

If you’ve tried Profitage, even just the demo, we want to hear what actually happened. Just what you saw, what confused you and what didn’t make any sense.

Some of you already ran bots, some only watched a couple of trades. Answers from everybody useful. The goal here is simple: build a real picture of what’s going on, without filters.
