Yemen welcomes US troop withdrawal from Iraq as major step towards regional security

President of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, has welcomed the withdrawal of the last contingent of US forces from Iraq, which marked the end of more than two decades of US military presence in the country, describing it as a major step towards restoration of peace and security in West Asia.
