🇮🇶 Iraq’s government has referred a draft law regarding the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) to parliament for approval.

Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces said the government had taken into account groups that conditioned the handover of weapons on the withdrawal of the coalition.

He added that three major Iraqi groups have handed over all their weapons to the government, while others are expected to join the PMF under new names.
