The UK government has suspended or refused more than 80 export licenses for items that could be used by the IOF in Gaza, up from around 30 licenses suspended when restrictions were introduced in September 2024, the Jewish Chronicle reports. More than 50 new applications have been refused since then.

The development comes as the UK remains a major supporter of Israel and faces criticism over its treatment of pro-Palestinian activists. Official figures show 2,819 terrorism-related arrests linked to support for Palestine Action in the year ending March 2026, following its proscription in July 2025.
