New analysis from CATO: Trump has cut legal immigration of every type, even more than illegal migration.

So far: immigrant visas and student visas have been cut nearly in half; spouses were down more than 60%; H-1B fell at least 78%, while asylees and refugees were cut over 90%. This data does not include all of the cuts made in mid to late 2026, meaning the drops will continue.
