My overview of the transformation of law enforcement under President Trump:

1) Homeland Security has established a first ever nationwide, permanent task force integrating federal oversight into state and local agencies for effective counter-cartel operations. Operating since September 2025.

2) DOJ combined all fraud enforcement under one superior division, the National Fraud Enforcement Division, to directly target fraud of all types, especially with immigrant or financial ties.

3) Long-Term Safe Task Forces patrolling U.S. cities are deployed with authority to arrest criminals, partnering with federal legal resources for prosecution. D.C. has seen 11,700+ arrests since August, 2025 and Memphis has 8,500+ since Sep 2025.

4) Law Enforcement cooperation with ICE—287(g) program—is larger, broader and deeper than ever. In 2016 there were only 35 law enforcement agencies assisting immigration; by 2024 it was 135. In May 2026 we have 1,780.
