Public Charge rules have been on the books since 1882, barring migrants who are likely to or end up  being dependent on government assistance and/or are fiscal negatives. President Trump would be the first in a century to properly enforce that rule.

If we can make our ‘Republican majority’ useful, that means guiding our elected officials through lobbying and direct advocacy and whatever else seems practicable, Public Charge would be the perfect basis upon which immigration can be reversed. For example, push the Immigration Freeze Act by Chip Roy until all public charges, present and potential, have been repatriated.
